Best Network Packet Injector Tool

T50: Very Fast Network Stress Tool

It is the fastest network packet injector. T50 Sukhoi PAK FA is a mixed as well as fastest network packet injector.

Or you can say that it is a kind of a packet injection free which is generated by Brazilian Nelson Brito who is capable of DoS and DDoS attacks by using the theory of stress testing.

With the help of this tool, you can send a very high number of requests for packets just like that the target will not be capable of gathering all over the requests as well as answer them slowly that’s why the target may fall or may be slow down.
Recently, the T50 is capable of copying the following requests:
  • More than one million(1,000,000) packets per second of SYN Flood i.e; +50% of the network uplink on a network 1000BASE-T which is also known as Gigabit Ethernet.

How to remove Image Background using MS Word

MS Office tools like Word, PowerPoint and Excel have their own specific uses and few would disagree that each of them is really good at what it is meant to do. However, conventional uses aside, they’re actually capable of much more provided we can put our creative minds to work.

One such capabilities is the image editing options like cropping in any shape and applying effects. Today we are set to explore yet another image editing feature of Microsoft Office products. We will learn to remove background from an image. Yes, this isn’t something that’s directly available in image editing tools (except for advanced tools like Photoshop). So this method is likely to come in handy at times.

Note: We have used MS Word for the tutorial. But Excel and PowerPoint also support the same.

Steps to Remove Image Background

Open a Word document and insert the sample image in it. You may drag and drop the image or navigate to Insert -> Pictures and then browse for your image.

We’re going to use this image.

Step 1: Select the picture and then navigate to Picture Tools -> Format. Hit on Remove Background option placed under Adjust section. Refer to the screenshot below.

The moment you do that you will see that the MS Word detects by itself (pink area) the background to be removed. And, though not perfect, it doesn’t do a shoddy job at all.

Step 2: The above result is not what you expected. You need the entire bottle, and Word has left out portions. So, you need to do a little more. Drag the lines to increase or decrease the area coverage. Here, we need to increase the area.

Step 3: Even with that you may be left with few unwanted areas (like the shadow) or few removed areas which you needed (on the edges).

To your rescue, you can use the Background Removal tools like Mark Areas to Keep and Mark Areas to Remove. As the names indicate, they can be used to mark more area to remove or mark an area to keep from what has already been selected on its own.

In order to do that select the required option and drag lines across the area you wish to remove or keep. This is definitely not as easy as it looks. It needs practice.

Here’s what we got out of our sample. The minus sign (-) indicates areas selected for removal and the plus sign (+) indicates areas marked for keeping.

Step 4: When you are satisfied click on Keep Changes. You will be taken away from the editing mode for a preview of your result. At any given time you may press the Esc key to go to the preview mode.

Not bad at all, right? If you do not like it, you can always go back and Discard All Changes or undo markings by using Delete Mark.

Conclusion
The best part is that the background in not white.. it is transparent. That means you can easily put it on top of another image. Overall, a neat function that you can make use of when you need to get rid of certain elements in the background of a snap and don’t want to fiddle around with an image editing tool.

How to automate Folder Actions in Windows using Watch4Folder

There are a lot of goodies hidden away among the oft neglected tribe of portable software. Watch 4 Folder is one such gem which you should seriously consider including in your Windows toolkit. Watch 4 Folder is simple intuitive folder monitoring tool that keeps an eye on all your file and folder activities and triggers custom actions depending on the kind of activity in process.

Watch 4 Folder is tiny at 1.3 MB and can be run straight without an installation. The tool runs from the system tray. It’s a freeware that enables you to monitor 12 different types of events and trigger automated actions based on those events.

Here’s a little walkthrough on how you can set it up in three quick steps:

Select a Folder to Monitor
Select the specific folder you want to monitor for any sort of change. It can be a top-level folder like a hard drive partition, or you can optionally pick a sub-folder and other folders within it.

Select the Events to Monitor
Select the event. Let’s say you want to start some process as soon as new media gets added to a folder. You can place a checkmark on Media Insert.

Be specific with the event you want to select because sometimes a single event can create several Monitoring events, for example selecting File Change event and File Rename event will create two events in case of file rename, because the file was renamed but also changed.

Select the Actions to be Triggered
As the screen above shows, you can pick from several actions. For instance, you can log all changes to a Notepad file. You can set the path of a graphics editor (that will be triggered to open) for a Media Insert event. You can set up desktop alerts that will display notifications when a particular event occurs.

You can also perform dynamic actions on changed files. The changed filename can be passed on to the executing program as an argument. For example if a file was changed you can trigger notepad to auto open the changed file. The Watch 4 Folder help file has a detailed explanation on how you can use specific arguments from the dropdown list.

Watch 4 Folder has a live log you can view to see the event-action process as it happens.

Overall, this is an automation software that can significantly boost your productivity if you set it right. Run it and let us know if it helps you in shaving off a few minutes.

Find and Delete large files on your Windows Hard Disk with WinDirStat

Cleaning junk files from the computer every once in a while is a good practice and there are many free and powerful tools available for the purpose that we have already discussed in the past. These cleaning tools help you to get rid of the temporary files, browser cache and other Windows junk files that you don’t really require. Today however, we are going to concentrate on those large files, like movies, ISOs and games, that almost disappear in the nest of folders, quietly consuming the space you desperately need.

WinDirStat can help you isolate such large files so that the cleanup becomes easier. Let’s dig into the features of this software and how it works.

Using WinDirStat
WinDirStat is a free app for Windows that’s published under General Public License. The program is very small in size and installation is straightforward. Simply follow the on-screen instructions and complete the setup. While installing you can choose some additional language packs if needed.

Once you launch the program, it will ask if you would like to scan all the drives that are on your computer or narrow the search to just a single drive or a folder. After you have made the selection, click on the OK button.

The program will then start the initial scan which might take some time depending upon your selection and hard disk space. For me it took around 6 minutes for a full scan of 750 GB hard drive. Once the initial scan is complete, the tool will display all the files in a tree structure along with the file extension graph which sums up the total amount of disk space used on the computer.

In the tree map, each block represents a file on your computer and the size of the block is directly proportional to the amount of space the file takes up on the hard drive when compared to other files. The partitions in the rectangle represent sub-directories and files. There’s an option to zoom in/out of the tree structure using the option available in the Treemap menu.

Using the tool I was able to find an old backup of my Android phone that was taking up around a GB on my computer, which I didn’t need.

The file can be deleted by using the option that’s available in the right-click context menu. You can also copy the path of the file to your clipboard or open Windows Explorer. While deleting the file there’s an option to either permanently delete it or send it to recycle bin for further review. There are some additional configuration options you can explore from Option -> Configure WinDirStat.

So that was how you can use WinDirStat to reclaim large amounts of disk space on your computer.

How to host a Folder as an FTP Server on Windows

We have used a custom tool provided by the organization that functions just like Dropbox, but zipping the files, uploading and downloading them using the internet is again time taking. Seeing this data havoc on an almost daily basis, I made it a point to come up with a solution to ease up the file transfer between the computers.

Now for some background information, we have a desktop that is used to gather and monitor the data about the entire team, and it never switches off. My idea was to run the FTP Server on it and then create folders for each of us, which could be easily accessible by any of the connected computers. So let’s see how we can configure any Windows folder as an FTP repository using a free application called FileZilla.
Hosting a Folder as an FTP server
Install the program with default settings. If you don’t want to start the FileZilla server on the computer automatically, make the necessary choices while installing the application. Select the option Install as service, started with Windows. This should be the ideal choice if you want the process to run all the time, even if the computer reboots by any chance. Once the installation is completed, run the app to create a repository.

Click on the Edit menu on FileZilla and click on Users. Now in the account settings, click on the Add button to add a user profile and give it a password. This username and password will be used for authentication when you connect to the FTP server from a different computer.

Having done that, click on the option Shared Folders and add a folder you would like to share as an FTP server. Finally, give all the permissions you would like to have for files and folders when accessed from a remote computer, and save the settings.

That’s all – your FTP server is now set and you can use it from any computer connected to the same network. To open the FTP folder, open the Run box and type in the command,FTP://<Host Computer IP Address>

Viewing FTP folders in Windows Explorer
Now, while accessing the FTP folder from a different computer, you will have to type the address in the Windows Explorer address bar. However, when you open the shared repository, it will open up in Internet Explorer. While you can easily download the file in the IE view of the FTP repository, it doesn’t allow you to upload files. And when there are many files and folders that we need to transfer, a simple copy/paste is all that we look for.

So to enable the explorer view on FTP, open Internet Explorer and click on Tools —> Internet Options. Here, navigate to the Advanced tab and check the option Enable FTP folder view (outside of Internet Explorer). That’s all. You can then view the FTP files and folders in Windows Explorer and use the simple copy and paste commands to back up and restore files to and from your computer.

Note: You can increase the security of FTP by configuring the port manually other than using the default configured port that’s 21.
Conclusion
This trick can be used to share files between computers when many of them are connected to the same network. But wait, because that’s not all! Stay tuned and I will show you how to combine the trick with an Android app to get unlimited, real-time file syncing between Windows and Android.

How to disable specific keys on Keyboard while playing Games

I love to play online games in my free time to kill my boredom. In these online games, you need to be swift and thus uses of hotkeys are preferred over mouse clicks and most of these hotkeys are in combination with the Ctrl and Alt keys.
However, the Windows key that sits between both the keys causes problems at times. I still remember that I was about to make one of the game deciding shot and the moment I pressed the hotkey, I was on my desktop. Yes, I pressed the Windows key by mistake! If you are a gamer, I am sure this problem is not new to you.

Today I am going to show you how you can use a nifty tool called KillKeys to lock certain keys on keyboard while playing games or working on any application on Windows. We have previously written about a tool called SharpKeys that could remap or disable keyboard keys so you might want to take a look at that one too.
Using KillKeys

Step 1: Download and extract the KillKeys archive file to a folder in your computer and run the executable file. The app will launch minimized in the system tray.

Step 2: By default, the app will be configured to disable the Windows key when running programs in full screen mode. To make some personal rules, right-click on the system tray icon and click on Options—>Open Settings.

Step 3: Now this might be little tricky.. the program does not support GUI based configuration. Rather, you will have to edit a notepad file manually to include or exclude keys. After the text configuration files open, you will see that there are two main sections in the file. In the first section keys= you can configure the Windows keys you want to disable when apps are running in window mode and not the full-screen mode. And Keys_Fullscreen is the list of keys you would like to disable while running the application in full screen mode.

Step 4: You will have to provide the keys HEX code with spaces in between to disable them. Here’s a complete list of HEX (Hexadecimal) code of all the keys on a normal windows keyboard. Please remove the suffix 0x while copying the keyboard virtual-key codes.

That’s all, the app will easily lock all the keys as configured by you. You can set the app to automatically start at boot.

Note: When we say that the tool controls keys in full screen mode, we aren’t talking just about the games that are played in full screen, but also any app that goes full screen like VLC, PowerPoint Presentation etc.

Conclusion

If you are a gamer, I am sure you will like the idea of disabling specific keys while playing. But you can use the tool in so many other useful ways. Why not share the ideas that coming to your mind right now!

How to access System(Root) files in Android Phones

Rooted Android phones provide many additional benefits when compared to a non-rooted phone and that’s because we can read and modify system files. Now the thing is, most of the time when we have to modify system files, we use an app or script to apply the updates directly. Not always convenient though.

Sometimes, we might need to edit and update certain system files manually in order to apply some custom mods and patches and that’s when we need a root file explorer. There are many apps in the market (some of which are paid) that claim to do the task, but we will see how to use ES File Explorer, one of the most trusted file explorer apps, for the task.
ES File Explorer as a Root Explorer

Launch ES File Explorer and open the app’s settings by pressing the menu soft key. In Settings scroll down to Other Settings section and tap the option Root Settings.

Now in Root Settings, check the option Root Explorer and Up to Root. For the first time when you enable this feature, your phone will ask if you would like to grant the particular app root access on your phone. Select the Remember option and enable it.

You will now be able to view all the root files when you tap the up button instead of exiting the app. If you want to gain write access over system files, enable the option Mount File System. You can now edit system files on your Android manually.

You can also opt for the option to backup system files automatically before you modify and save a file. This makes sure that you always have a failsafe file on your device to roll back to if anything goes wrong.

Note: Please be very careful while editing system files. Always refer to reliable source if you are planning to apply any mod or patch to your device. Even a small mistake can put your phone in Force
Close or boot loop. You were warned!
Conclusion
So this was yet another great use you can put ES File Explorer to. Don’t forget to have a look on How to View saved WiFi password on Android device easily.
